SCC Baseball Standings

The Warriors (16-3) are led by the state's ERA-leading pitching staff of 1.88, the only team in California with a below 2 mark. Max Pappas, Jimmy Galicia, and Aaron Orozco each have four mound wins. ECC closer Spencer Long is second in the state in saves with five.

The Panthers (14-6) are paced by rightfielder Eddie Pietschman with three home runs, three triples and 14 RBI and division ERA leader Elias Jauregui (4-1, 0.96).

The Lancers (12-5) feature a team that is No. 2 in state batting average (.329) and state on-base percentage (.444). PCC is led by centerfielder Gabriel Arellano, who is fourth in the state batting race at .442 (plus 19 RBI) and has hit safely in each of first 17 collegiate games. PCC's pitching staff is also strong with the conference's top wins leader thus far in Patrick Pena (5-1).

The CCCBCA has recognized four SCC student-athletes as State Players of the Week in Long Beach pitcher Garrett Rennie (week 2), El Camino shortstop Taishi Nakawake and ECC pitcher Orozco (week 3), and Pasadena's Arellano (week 4).

In the coaches association SoCal Regional Rankings from March 5, El Camino was #4, Chaffey #6, Pasadena #11, and Mt. SAC at #18, a team that swept El Camino in their 2-game series that opened SCC play.
