Mt. San Antonio College has put together quite a run with its 10th team title in the last 11 seasons at the South Coast Conference Men's Swimming and Diving Championships held April 16-18 at El Camino College.

It was the program's fourth straight crown, and 14th championship overall, all since 2003. For the second straight year, the Mounties won 15 of the 21 events, and beat last year's points total by three with 1,005. That more than doubled second-place Long Beach City with 468, third-place El Camino with 465 and fourth-place Cerritos at 456

Lincoln Jones broke a 7-year-old meet record in the 400-yard individual medley as he swam a 3:58.25, beating the previous mark held by Mt. SAC's Jason Harary by 1.58 seconds.

Jones also won the 200 IM and 200 backstroke as he and Mounties teammate Luke Marsden were the SCC Co-Swimmers of the Meet. Marsden scored his three wins in the 50 freestyle and the 100 and 200 breaststroke events.

Leon Mikulski was a double champion, capturing the 500 and 1,650 freestyle titles, an event that the Mounties occupired places 1-through-6. Michael Lu was a repeat champion in the 100 backstroke.

Mt. SAC won the 400 free relay (Kai Anolin, Jones, Jacob Carlson, and Marsden) in 3:06.84, just .47 of a second off the meet record set a year ago by the Mounties. The mighty Walnut bunch also won the 400 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay.

Aidan Staton (100 butterfly), Anolin (100 IM), and Cooper Golling (200 butterfly) also took home gold medals.

FINAL TEAM STANDINGS: 1. Mt. San Antonio 1,005, 2. Long Beach City 468, 3. El Camino 465, 4. Cerritos 456, 5. Pasadena City 389, 6. Chaffey 290, 7. Rio Hondo 184.

Chaffey's Zixi Xu was a double champion in the 100 and 200 freestyles. He won the 200 for the second straight year and his 46.17 time in the 100 was .61 of a second behind the meet record.

Remarkably, Mt. SAC had disqualifications in two relay events while El Camino grabbed first in the 200 free relay and Pasadena the champ in the 200 medley relay. Long Beach City's Ian Dien won both the 1-meter diving board (302.20 points) and 3-meter board (289.45) titles.
