Complete SCC Championship Results

Ten years ago, Cerritos College put an end to a then Mt. San Antonio streak of 12 straight South Coast Conference men's track and field team championships. Six years ago, Cerritos stopped a 3-year string of Mounties titles. And this year, it was the Falcons again snapping yet another Mt. SAC streak of five in a row. Cerritos captured the 2019 title with 250.33 points while El Camino also surprised Mt. SAC with 223 points for second place at the SCC Prelims/Championships held April 23 and 27 at Cerritos College.

All the more remarkable that Mt. SAC finished third is that in its South Coast Conference men's track/field history going back to 1970, it matched the Mounties lowest finish at the conference finals ever. The only other time that Mt. SAC didn't finish first or second was in 1977 when Fullerton scored 155 points, Grossmont 150.25 and Mt. SAC placed third with 111.25.

Alternately, El Camino's second place finish matched its highest placing at the SCC Finals since 2008, the only other time the Warriors placed as high going back to when it entered the SCC in 1987.

Cerritos picked up its third-ever South Coast men's track and field championship since it was a sport member going back to 1970. The Falcons won seven events overall in a clean split of champions with both El Camino and Mt. San Antonio, who each also had seven event winners.

SCC 2019 Final Men's Track and Field Standings: 1. Cerritos 250.33, 2. El Camino 223, 3. Mt. San Antonio 206.33, 4. Long Beach City  78.33, 5. Pasadena City 34, 6. East Los Angeles 10
