All-SCC Women's Soccer Teams Announced, #2 Pasadena Leads 4 Teams Into Playoffs
2024 ALL-SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE TEAMS
SOCAL REGIONAL PLAYOFF BRACKET
Pasadena City College earned the #2 seed to lead four South Coast Conference squads into the 2024 Women's Soccer Regional Playoffs this week.
The Lancers (18-1-1) will get a first round bye as does #6 Mt. San Antonio (14-5-3) as both will host Round 2 games on Saturday, Nov. 23. At #14, Long Beach City (11-4-5) hosts #19 Orange Coast and #18 El Camino (9-7-5) visits #15 LA Pierce in Round 1 games on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
One odd circumstance is that all four SCC teams are in the same side of the bracket, meaning that only one can potentially advance to the 3C2A State Championships.
The 2024 All-South Coast Conference Teams feature the SCC-leading scorer as the SCC North Division Offensive Player of the Year in Pasadena's Charlie Gallardo while Mt. SAC's Tiana England was North Defensive Player of the Year and the Mounties' Anai Olmedo named North Goalie of the Year. PCC's Terryn Soelberg was named the SCC North Coach of the Year.
Gallardo led the SCC in the regular season with 17 goals, eight assists and 42 points.
The South Division Offensive Player of the Year is Long Beach's Lorena Moreno, South Defensive Player of the Year is El Camino's Sophia Hudson, and the Vikings' Jackie Garibay selected South Goalie of the Year.
Moreno tallied 11 goals and six assists to pace the South Division top playmakers.
